I've seen numerous 70-73's with argent/silver fillers & just assumed that they had been replaced and left in the color that they came out of the box in.
When I replaced them on my 70 T/A in the mid 80's,I left them that color (natural) & quite liked it that way. (a bit more contrast going on)
Do we have any cold hard facts to back this up,or was it just that they ran out of certain colors for a short time?
How about 72's & 73's? (obviously plastic valance equipped birds were body color)
