I use 3M Perfect-IT II Pad Glaze for Dark Cars on a foam pad. Works great to remove compounding scratches and removing swirl marks. $20/bottle but worth it. I just painted tow fenders with PPG Concept (single stage) in black so I know what you're talking about with keeping it clean.
