John - I do not know how to thank you enough! You answered many questions that my Dad & I have been scratching our heads over for the last 5 years.
The Black car was restored a couple of years ago by my Dad & me. The 1st and only restoration after being wrecked back in April of '64 (more like a resurrection - but that's another story, seen any recent HPP magazines lately?? Feb. I think.. Yep that's Dad's Black car.) I'll go back to Dad's place, get a jpeg of the data plate, get all the motor numbers, its hard to read on the PHS, and follow up with some answers to your questions.
