The norm is trying to duplicate what was there when the car is being prep'd and thus the reason for pictures, pictures, pictures.....
You could have him tape above 4-6" blast some more red oxide let it dry and then hit it with the black and feather in the top. Overspray the bottom line and call it done?
Others might have a better option since Im not a painting expert ?
