it's simular to a snowmobile ,variable clutches ,keeps the RPM's up, consant velocity transmission . CVT
when they blow ,they blow ,but for the most part they have been pretty good
I've been working in a Nissan / Chyrsler dealer for 23 yrs
I can tell you horror stories about both brands , Nissan is owned by Renault ,they bought in back 1999 when Nissan filed for the Bankruptcy,,
2002 -2006 Nissan had some big issues ,it is getting better
these arguments about were they money goes are a waste of time .
even Nissan has parts made in China ,, they are owned by a French company
all these companies are worldwide now,wheelin and dealin ,lowest bider ,profit per unit
American Pride is lost ,what ever happened to those old guys that used have those bumper stickers on ther cars that said BY AMERICAN ,, my 2c
