Ouch! Doesn't look like safety chains would've helped as the hitch failed.
Around here you're required to have a trailer brake battery backup with a lanyard attached to the tow vehicule. If the hitch separates the landyard activates the brakes.
Uhh.. Why would a guy stand on a metal trailer with a downed power line sitting on it??
