About 25 years ago the current title holder purchased this wagon only because it had a 428 4 speed. Way back when it was just a odd ball big boat no one cared about. Anyway he had a partner in a autobody shop and he was a big time GTO guy. He figured Jim, his partner would part it out for the engine and tranny, but before Jim could buy the wagon a fellow who rented part of the front office on the body shop bought it on payments. Hardly anything down and way too much money for the car at the time, but payments were the key! Jim was pissed that he did not get the wagon and told him you will never see the money nor the car! Well for twenty five years he was right! shortly after, the renter move out of the body shop office with car and never was seen again. Over the years a hundred times, people would remind him how he was taken on odd ball wagon and he would always say some day I gonna find that car, it will show up! Well he has since retired and gave all his unpaid titles to a repo friend he's known forever, he now lives in Montana but his kids still live here, so visits several times a year. The title is now in the hands of Repo Pete and I can buy the title since I am the one who found the car and told him about it. My problem is that I have 20 old cars most of them Pontiacs and since bought a 4 speed Tempest wagon, so I am out. Sometimes it takes twenty five years to be right! LOL

Richard,

What tempest wagon did you buy?
