Gillette is registered owner, as of today legal is Redmond Auto, Wa. state title. James Gillette was the man they purchased the car from with a bill of sale. Jim Pittman was the owner of Redmond Auto Rebuild. Pittman had a body shop and a dealer license to sell used cars. Pittman sold the car on payments, example 300 down and pays of 250 a month till it is paid for, it is called inhouse financing. The lein is on the title, same as a bank, go buy a new car, bank is legal on the car until it is paid for. Don't pay bank, bank calls repo man to pop the car only in this case it took 32 years. When you pay off your car bank sends a title with a signature on it to release their interest. No pay, no title. Read my posts it explains it. Pittman never got paid so he did not give up the title to Gillette. Pittman gave the title to Repo Pete when he retired and Pete still has the tile from 1977!
