that seems to be a very clean and respectable truck. You are correct, those adhesive patches in front of the rear wheels are to prevent rock chips. I suspect you could heat them with a blow dryer and perhaps get them to come off (mine got sanded off in preparation for paint).

I could be wrong, but 8 - 10k seems high to me. As I have thought about putting a price on mine the market for these trucks seems somewhat depressed, just like all other run of the mill vehicles.

I'd go 6 - 8 maybe, but in the end it depends on how badly you want it.
