The carpet in the photos above appears to be a light brown and matches the carpet strip on the bottom of the deluxe door panels.
Here is a standard sandlewood interior picture from the site Tranz-Am. The carpet appears to be a similar light brown or tan color, but it may not be original. I think black carpet would be unsightly.
