i used a tailhousing from a chevy truck (maybe a van) that had another boss for the mount cast in. i still had to move my crossmembr forward and yes, i lowered the trans a bit for floorpan clearance. i did that by making a simple triangular shaped piece of flatsteel and drilled three holes in it, then used spacer shims (washers) to get the desired clearance between the top tailhousing bolts and pan. with the cooperation of my friendly parts store, i seasrched his shelf and found a rear rubber mount that was slightly shorter and had a single stud facing down. i hope this helps someone. i'll try to get some pix posted soon. i'm still tweeking the kickdown cable at the manifold. how's your tranny feel driving? it's like a new car isn't it! mine is the first slim jim car i ever swaped to th350. should have done it decades ago. it's a lot of work but it's well well worth it. don't you think? more later, don
