Funny you say that....Since I build in town, I did run it by the head building inspector one day, just so he wouldn't be pissed if he got a call from the assessor's office or some neighbor. The conversation went something like this....
It's how big? And it's in a tree? Two Trees? (long pause as he looks at me like I'm pulling his leg) Well, could you consider it a permanent structure? (Me - no) Does any part of the structure come in contact with the ground? (Me - nope) Well then I don't think we have any jurisdiction over it - (wink).
He stopped out later that week and left his card in the door - on the back "Wow - Looks Good". LOL!!!
