Hmmm, older post, but after running my car this weekend, pulled the valve covers just to inspect the rockers, and noticed the oil up top was a little milky looking. Turned the valve covers over, and they had a layer of what resembled white lithium grease. Drained the oil expecting to find water in it, but no water. Moisture is all up top under the valve covers and in the breathers. Ran this same motor back in june, without this problem. Since then, I've only had the intake manifold off. I am using Valvoline oil, and I don't use a PCV valve. What could be causing this now?
