A/c high blow fuse.........
I would replace the 30A fuse on the alternator (only used for the high blower speed) with approximately 6" of 16ga. fusible link wire (soldered, of course). The fusible link section will simply heat up when the alternator surges, instead of a fuse which will continue to blow each time the amperage spikes.
I was fighting the same problem until Mick (lust 4 speed) explained the advantages of the fusible link setup.
