They used the common parts that were needed to keep costs down. They probably used an AC Compressor and an Alt from another car too.
But name another GM car like it?
How many suspension parts did the GTO's and Firebirds share with the Chebby, Olds and Buick cousins? Same thing for the Grand Prix, Bonneville's, etc.
