The skip shift can be eliminated 2 ways that I know of. You can purchase a skip shift eliminator fairly cheap around $35.00 - just plugs in at tranny. Or you can have it tuned out with a custom PCM tune. As far as shifters go I have a Hurst it works real well but took quite sometime to break in, was tight. I hear a lot of good about the GMM rip shifter. If I was to buy another shifter it probably would be the GMM rip shifter street version.
