My Grandfather was a career long Railroad man. I have pictures of me at 3 yrs old playing on car frames that were sitting on his rail yard.
Anyone here remember the old DT&I? Detroit, Toledo and Ironton, that moved parts for Ford.
I have an Oak Seth Thomas wall clock from the late 1800's, that he got when he closed down an old station.
His Father was also a railroad man, and I have his little notebooks where they had to keep a record of the temps and track conditions. Cool stuff.
