I figured as much.
You install a very strong chrome moly tube cross-member/ "Crash Bar" (which you said yourself takes all of the impact) that you also use to mount the rack for the steering.
Sounds to me that Jack would need to do EXACTLY the same deal for your example to hold water. Otherwise it is apples to oranges.
If you are not going to change to a Rack/ "Crash Bar" , Jack, install the the removable piece on the existing frame with the mid mount, the front mount, and the "J-bars".
