My block is not a stress point. The motor and mid plate could possible be defined as one with the torsional load of the crash bar hitting the ground but it is highly unlikely. The 2 plates basically prevent a bending moment if the moly pipe/crash bar fail. The only load the block would see would be the efects of gravity on the 5 bolts in the trans and the 4 bolts in the engine plate. Pure shear. But since the engine can't move (in theory), again there is no load on the engine. Now if the engine pan or trans pan smacked the ground, all bets are off.
