Brought this home about a month ago. '63 Catalina air car. Going to build a Gasser style out of it. This how it looked when I brought it home. No rust anywhere, just touches of surface rust here and there. Solid rust free floor.

'57 Chevy wide beam axle for the front waiting to go in.

Building a '60 389 block out to 406 a 4L80 trans, This is the AllPontiac midplate I'm converting into an adapter for th e early pattern to the 4L80 Chevy pattern.

This is some slots with slicks that I might use for the gasser style look.

Or I may go to a fully narrowed 9 inch all braced and bracketed for ladder bars and 15X15 rims with 31.5X16.5X15 ET Streets. Would have to narrow evrything back there though.

389/406 is getting these KRE 325 cfm heads, a roller cam, 3 center caps will be splayed 4 bolts, cryo'd parts (engine and trans) reinforced decks for boostin, 3.75 forged crank, GRP 6.615 alum rods, Ross 20cc light weight dished pistons. and it will all be turbocharged. Either twins or one big single. Not yet decided.

I still have a lot to do and decide on. I'm cutting the firewall and moving the engine back so I have to build a firewall. Will probably make my own dash. I still have to make up my mind on the rear ends, either stock with limited tire or the narrowed 9 inch and a lot of tire. That's the plan so far. Mark L
