It is likely a Chevrolet produced 12- bolt axle. The Pontiac versions have a slightly different cover, I believe it is notched on the sides. Check the casting number on the center unit and check with a GTO 12 bolt listing online. FWIW, my 72 is a Chevrolet 12 bolt posi just like a Chevelle unit.
