Had to have a "talk" with the wife tonight that wasn't appropriate in front of the kids. Found out the car doesn't like family conflict. Right Front Tire blew apart @ 30 mph. No loss, no harm no foul. Now I'm on the hunt for tires for the front, not a bad thing as I'm driving it to WV for the POCI meet in a couple weeks.
I realised, after a bit of reflection, that I bought those front tires in 1988. Can't bitch about the lifespan of them and if I'd have realised they were that old they'd have been gone before I mounted them on the car.
Changed the LR axle seal today bearing was fine so that's done.
Moving forward again.
On a side note got a compliment on it today at the gas station from the weights and measures guy. Said his dad had one with the same wheels and a two tone paint scheme.
Wanna bet it was a Hurst car?
