Here's some inconclusive guess work. It is whatever an individual is willing to pay for a particular car. First...condition is always the deciding factor. If it is in great condition, little or no rust, and is all there, you're batting a 1000. Remember it may cost between 25-40 thousand or more, to restore it to show quality. A restored show quality car starts at $60,000 and goes up depending on how pristine and correct the restoration is. If show quality isn't an issue and the car already presents itself well cosmetically, I would just make sure it was mechanically sound and drive it's wheels off. It is hard to find a bargain, but sometimes it happens. Put some pictures on here of it and ask some of the experts here what they think it is worth before you hand over any money.
Numbers matching commands more money to the informed seller, but it also guarantees a higher value for your investment. Do your homework on this model and be sure of your facts. Knowledge is power. Spending a lot of money only to find out you've been had kinda sucks. I hope it's the real deal. Don't tarry too long if it checks out, it will be gone.
