Does raise some questions about the front runner / crossover mount also as mentioned ??
The hole I identified as "A" was at the rear in this pic, (note Dissy hole) the water hole here would usually either be a heater nipple, freeze plug or aftermarket "rear crossover deal".
I can almost understand no flange at the front (I have had separate crossovers on all of my engines, makes good sense), just not the rear ??
