Default Our "New" 1964 Pontiac "PARISIENNE"

Good Day All,

Here are a few pix of the car that my wife's Dad bought brand new in 1964, the same year he died...

This straight-6 (230 CID) 2-speed automatic CANADIAN Parisienne saw "active service" in 1975 & 76, when my wife used it to go to university---the rest of the time it essentially hibernated inside garages, under tarps & plywood (the last time it was on the road was in 1984, when it made it on its own power from the garage in one town, to a new one in another!).

My brother-in-law passed away in April of this year, & we only just now got around to cleaning-out his garage---lo & behold, there was the Parisienne, all dirty & covered with stuff. We were going to sell it, but once we towed it outseide for a clean-up, both my wife & I were absolutely anmazed at its physical condition, & decided to keep it as a summer cruiser for ourselves, instead...in fact, we had it taken away on a flatbed at noon to-day to a friend of mine who also happens to be a mechanic...!

My father's first brand new car was a '64 dark blue Parisienne---this ride sure does bring back a LOT of memories for me...we're both looking foward to hitting the open road with this Canadian old-timer!
