FYI: If it were a TH400 that would indeed be the more likely fail scenario.

But his is a TH350...

On a TH350 the trans mount is on the trans case itself,not on the tailshaft housing like the TH400.

IMO that's also why TH350's crack more cases/bells than TH400's do.

Agree there is no 100% guarantee of keeping the trans from being damaged when a shaft fails,but I still feel the "no-drill" loops compound the damage that may happen.
