In 1971 , when I bought my first GTO,( a 1967 conv.with his and hers shifter). I immediately started to personalize it as soon as I had money in my pocket. I was 18 and the only kid in the neighorhood with a Pontiac. Things like:
Adding a rear sway bar.
Stiffer springs to get the ass up. (Most kids used air shocks)
Put in a stereo radio/ cassette player
Sent out under the hood parts to get chromed. (you would die if you knew how cheap it was back then)
Could not afford Hurst wheels, so Crager slotted wheels went on.
I can't remember anything else, But my point is , I still do the same with my car today.
If I like it ,I am going to do it. I do keep everthing Pontiac, and try to avoid aftermarket stuff, .well except for my Hurst wheels...

When I go to a show that is why I enter it in MODIFIED class. I still get people telling me how incorrect my car is. It really irritates me,.as if I didn't know . I probably know more about Pontiacs than most of them put together.
