See, now here's one of those things that depends on the car...every '61 I've ever owned came from the factory with the seats bolted on top of the carpet.
A lot of things have been mentioned that don't bother me (rear sway bars, different wheels, etc.)
as long as the owner doesn't try to claim they're original. Part of the whole old car hobby is personalizing your car to suit your own tastes. I kind of like what some of the magazines have been referring to lately as a "Day 2" car - it's like what most people did with their cars back when they bought them new. The day after they brought it home from the dealer, they'd put on some mag wheels or some chrome engine parts or an eight track tape player, or whatever they wanted to do.
