A sad tale of 2 65 Bonneville Convtibles
Well this will be the final chapter in the sad tale of these two cars...
I went over to see the cars and have a chat with Ron who kindly let me store them after they were pulled of that field in Oklahoma, he looked at the cars and the Gold one is too far gone, but the Burgundy one could be saved...but is it worth it?
By the time I plough money into that car to bring it back to life I could have bought another car and had change.
So the decision has been made and Ron will help me sell the cars for parts or scrap. A sad end for a 3 owner car with just over 100,000 miles on the clock that was a great driver...but a lesson learnt and I won't be doing that again.
Once the cars have finally been sold I'll look around for something to replace them...and not a huge project...something to enjoy in the summer months.
