Another long one, sorry.
Work inside security at Reapers Realm haunted house attraction in Hammond, In. last 7-8 yrs.
Some back ground.
I'm a "roam'r" and "cooler".
Defuse problems.
Mostly when customers mess with actors.
Are hop'd up on som'tn(hold'm till the off duty security cops get there).
Take'm out do to fear or claustorphobia, etc.
Let maintaince know when some'tn breaks or needs attension.
Be seen, but not seen...
Start 1/2 hour before open till last customer is out.
There are hidden narrow back passage ways thruout the 3 stories for workers to go to/from unseen
VERY dark. Some cant see 3' ahead.
Everyone use's flashlights except me and another partner after spend'n so many yrs there.
Carry one, but only use it to help others.
Anyway, theres an area of the 3rd floor and basement that feels strange.
Years past, actors have quit after work'n alone. Now they have 2-3 minumum.
Number of times felt someone following close behind in the passage ways there.
Makes the hair stand up...
Last yr a hidden door(bundgee corded and only open one way against them) opened just before i reached for it...
No one else was around except an actor behind me. He said Holly sh*t!
The other guy that doesnt use a light got a pic on his cell phn of a 1' round-ish glow hang'n mid air in front of the same door a week later.
We start work'n there Friday thru Sunday night...let ya know Monday if anything happens...
