Default Tripower Gremlins

I recently finished a full restoration on my Goat and was finally able to drive it again after 4 years.

The car was running very rich (so bad it would burn your eyes at idle) and had issues with flooding and stalling. I tried all of the typical adjustments, but wasn't able to resolve the issues. It was quite frustrating since I paid a local professional to rebuild and restore the set up in the first place.

Eventually, I found a DVD called "Tripower Basics, Mods, & Troubleshooting" at www.pontiactripower.com and thought I would give it a try. I assumed there was a decent chance it would just be someone demonstrating items from the Pontiac manuals, but was pleasantly surprised. The DVD actually contains a collection of tips and information that I haven't found from any other sources and Mike (the one that made the video) was very responsive to questions via email as well.

I thought I was fairly knowledgable about tripowers and carbs in general, but didn't realize there were so many specific pieces of information required to get these setups to perform properly.

I just thought I would share my experience in case others are having issues with their tripowers or would just like to know more about how these setups (should) work.
