Dad's ashes showed up unannounced one day at my office via the US Postal service. Small rectangular metal box wrapped in brown paper with a UAB label on the front. In small print down at the bottom of the label was "contains human ashes". I bet theft of those packages is not a big problem.
Dad is now interred at the National Veterans Cemetery in Montevallo Alabama. I believe he was the third veteran buried there. That's where he wanted to be and we actually kept him around the office here until they finally finished the new cemetery.
