Mine's a '76 557 block, .030" over with SRS pistons and Ace's 4340 ultralite rods, re-balanced. The rest is in my signature. I can't see any problems with the 557 block at the rpm level I'm running with the seriously lighter-than-stock reciprocating assembly.
