Certain electronics tool manufacturers actually make the tool you're looking for...Don't know ahat it's called but I've had several over the years. Looks just like a screwdriver with a hollow shaft with two 'nibs'. In fact, I have one now.
It's commonly used to install and remove volume control potentiometers and such from electronics devices.
Try a company called "Xcelite".
Now, as stated earlier, you could easily make one from a socket or a regular nut driver. Just grind away the edge of the socket except for the two 'nibs' at the needed locations. Wouldn't take 5 minutes with a bench grinder.
