I ran one for about 3 seasons in my 3200 lb. car running in the low 10's one season and 9.70 and '80s for the next 2 seasons shifting at 6600 with Eagle rods and Ross pistons. I put right aboutt 200 passes a year on the car. It was a cast 4.21 stroke with 3 1/4" mains. Never had one bit of problem with that setup. It was probably near the 700hp level.
When the forgings came out I figured I could sleep a little better at night with a tighter pin in my grenade. I wouldn't be too worried about the cast crank till you start getting over 650hp. Even then with my experience it sjhould live a long life.
