I've had an HD McCLeod in my '65 since 1983.....it's still in there, and still going strong. About 50k on it. Pedal effort is high compared to an LUK or hydraulic, but the thing has been bulletproof. This is a street driven only car...but I was hard on it in the early-mid-'80's when I was a young whippersnapper. No chatter, very smooth engagement. Stay away from clutches that chatter...it gets really old really quick, and your car will fel like a roach.
