I kind of understand your thinking. Our pump gas here is 10% ethanol, however the rating I'm sure is done after the addition of the ethanol. Straight Alcohol may have a higher rating, but is not practical for regular street. That does remind me that I need to make sure my carb accelerator pump is compatible with the ethanol.
