Good catch! You can though use an angle adapter, or some companies include several in their' installation kits.

One thing too with electrical gauges is that many are not full sweep. When it comes to oil and water, and you're driving hard, that makes a difference.

A number of marine gauge manufacturers do have full sweep electrical gauges, like ISSPRO.

Classic has quad gauges, which is nice, and they fit perfectly in the dash openings of the Cutlass, would in a 68-72 LeMans as well. They now make them with LEDs in the for turn indicators and hi beam, some with their' 'halo' effect. Interesting eye-candy!
