Remove the cardboard headliner from the car. Wire brush all the old rotted foam off of it. Tape over the staple/pin holes from the last owner with good masking tape (little pieces, this eliminates low spots). Repair cracks with glue (like seal-all) if you need to reinforce areas you can do it on the back with headliner pieces from another junkyard headliner. Lay your headliner cardboard on a big clean board or floor and put your perforated material on it and fold it in half. spray the exposed half the board and cloth back and forth then up and down. Start in the middle at the fold and with clean hands smooth out the material, working toward the edges, repeat for the other half. trim the edges and dome light hole and re-install. Make sure you use the adhesive from 3m that says "for headliners". Not a hard job.
