The pile of washers wouldn't be acceptable on a restored car but will work alright on a driver, if the whole support is low on one or both sides we have shaved the core support bushings to gain height and keep the stack down.

I totally agree that as long as folks keep buying them, the manufacturer will not spend the money to resolve the issues. Unfortunately, we need the dam things... so we have to make do with what we have...
