The under the dash pedestal mounted 8-track shows as "cancelled for 73" in the assy. manual. (sheet 12L 14) Console mounted is sheet 12L 15. The forward facing mount just ahead of the rear seat on the hump actually shows the installation with the console in place--and the sheet (12H 22) is coded with "D55" which is the front console. It is also shown only for the cassette player and not the 8-track. (Mind you, this comes from the 73 assembly manual.) If this is a no console 72 with 8-track, then it's the pedestal mount under the dash. A cassette player in '72 was not available with front console, rear console, 8-track or rear seat speaker.
