My 62 GP came with a jury rigged alt. that I had to figure something to do with. It wasn't lined up right and whoever wired it, did a terrible job. Wouldn't even charge.
Anyway, I went on a tear looking for brackets to get it right. Found a correct bracket, but then discovered when changing brackets around, you'll need to keep an eye on the pulleys too. After I found one of the aluminum brackets, I got it on the car, bolted on the alternator and that's when I realized, it's not just the bracket, but the combo of pulleys that work with it. Not trying to put you off, but be aware, you may need to deal with pulleys to get things to work proper. That or some fun extra fab work. It's all do-able though.
