Gentlemen:
Changed company's after 14 years in 2007 with a heavy civil construction company. Several peiople said I was crazy in the middle of a recession. I just did not have a good feeling about the direction of management.
Up at 3:45 A.M each day on the project site by 5:15 A.M checking on the night shift off by 4:30 PM. Work most weekends at least Saturday to keep up w/ the paperwork. Had to prove to myself and my new bosses I could make it happen. Everything has gone pretty well. Project is going well . Raise and bonus each of past two years. However, the wolf is at the door everyday because recession. I have 40 men week looking for work.
In conclusion, I believe that everyone has get back to basic. Having a job is not a right - a job is something you earn. I try to learn something new ever day. Hopefully brighter days are ahead. By the way my former company has discontinued and layed out almost everyone. God must lookout for irishmen and fools.
