I didn't realize that the impeller clearance issue was considered an 8 bolt only problem.
I have an 11 bolt pump on my '68 and I can tell you for sure that the clearance was pretty wide.
Is the clearance just not an issue with the 11 bolt style? Can't see why it wouldn't be.
