I am in your area every now and then since my son and most of my family live in the Atlanta area. Would love to drop by some time and take a close look.
I would be glad to show you my work in progress, drop by any time.

I would like to thank Walt for his donation of fenders he no longer needs. I dropped by his house to pick up the fenders Saturday and got a look at his project. His project, a Red 69 Lemans convt, is almost complete. Walt only needs to get his interior door panels installed to complete his project.

Here a picture of the donated fenders.

There is no doubt I will use Walt's driver side fender. For the passenger side I am still trying to decide if I will use Walt's fender or repair the one I have.

The driver side fender got banged up a bit in storage so I had to start will a little body work to straighten to front area. I have already got this area mostly done.

The before: In the Green the bracing is bent and broken loose from the fender. The red shows the additional bends.

I got the front bracing straighten, I still need spot weld the bracing to the fender shell.

I got the other bracing straight, I clamped 1/4" thick flat iron stock to the back side of the frame and beat it with a BFH. I got it pretty good. A little more work remains before I will be happy with it. The mounting tab that bolts to the core support was bend out almost 2 inches.

The fender cleaned up very nicely. Now to weld in a patch panel. It will probably take a few days for the patch panel to arrive.
