Being from Los Alamos NM, which had a few but exspensive body shops, I had a low rider shop in Espanola NM paint my GTO in 1989. The paint is still on the car today. I figured if this guy could paint a 65 Buick low rider in 10 different shades of heavy metal flake yellow along with murals of Jesus and some Aztec goddess, he could paint my GTO in the orignal Antique Gold paint. Never have been a fan of the low rider culture but you have to give credit to the work they do on these cars. A low rider from Espanola, the lower rider capital of the world, is in the Smithsonan.
