Hey Bret! I tell ya what, I made it a point to really make sure the engine was grounded good. got a big grounding strap from the front of the pass side head to the frame, and then another good one from the back of the pass side head to the firewall. I would think this should be sufficient...

glad to hear I aint the only one who's had troubles with these. was hopin to bring it down to POCI event in bowling green and maybe make a pass or two, but won't be able to fix this in time I'm afraid. oh well.

the current ruined cable is 5' long. next size up is 8'. should I try the 8' cable this time?

also gonna fab a new mount for the shifter, raise it up, pull it back some, and angle it to give the cable a better angle to hopefully avoid this problem in the future.
