The higher the intake, the more torque, USUALLY. However restricting exhaust flow and timing makes a huge difference ( truck or RV cams). Truck heads have restricted exhaust ports for this reason. Higher PLASTIC intakes is how GM increased the Torque rating on the same engine over the years. RPM is limited to 4500 in these cases usually for any real power.
