One thing I know, The hub off of a 61-63 will fit the front spindle on a 64-66 A body. Have put them on for mockup. I dont know about the 64-up backing plate fitting the 61-63 spindle. May be do-able. That would get a much larger drum brake on the front, but will put 5 on 4.75 hubs on the front of your early Tempest.
