Driver fender update

Quote:
Well, it looks like you're going in the right direction. Looks good. You pushed the front end of the fenders out to correct that problem...you may have to pull the rear end of the fender in to correct the shimmed hinge problem.
I spend some time tonight looking at the problem. Measuring the hinge mounting hole to the edge of the fender the driver side is 1/4" in from where it should be. The sheet metal is all lined up, just the hinge mounting holes are off. Pushing the bottom edge of the bracing (pushing it toward the engine) near the hinge results in the hinge mounting location moving both out and up. I figure I can use a come-along to pull the hinge mounting pad into position, as soon as I can figure out something to use for an anchor point. If I push the car back about 10 feet there is a steel pole holding the house up. This looks like my best choice since I can figure anything safe to use on the car for a pulling point.

This is how much I shimmed the hinge. Each washer is 1/8" thick. I also placed two more washers between the hood and the hinge.
